The World Hickory Open Championship is a joint venture between a group of Edinburgh businessmen. The event is also supported by East Lothian Council and Craigielaw Golf Club as well as company sponsors and individual entrants.

The two tournaments have a combined prize fund of £17,500 underwritten. The prize fund will be divided between both competitions in accordance with PGA recommendations.
