Sponsor the World Hickory Open Championship

Golf remains an attractive sport for sponsors as it delivers all the hallmarks companies seek to associate with their brand.  Hickory Golf takes this a step further by allowing companies with heritage to showcase they are offering enduring values.

As well as the values of friendship, fashion and fun.

The revival of hickory golf stems from the debate integral to every sport, “Are today’s players better than yesterdays”?   Hickory golf answers that question with the use of clubs designed before 1935.

For this reason hickory is attracting top professionals and amateurs as they seek to answer that old lingering question for themselves.

Hickory Golf retains many important attributes for the event sponsors

  • It has traditional values

  • The pleasure is measured by the width of your smile not the number of birdies

  • Playing partners become lifelong friends

  • It attracts male, female, young and old golfers

  • It is pure, unspoiled by technology

  • It attracts top professionals and a wide variety of global media

The World Hickory Open Championship had its first event at Musselburgh Links in 2005.
